Just Wedding Photography is a Brisbane based Studio dedicated to the capturing of quality image, video and cinematography of weddings. We shoot in what would best be described as a contemporary style in that we have photojournalistic overtones, except we add to that a bit.

Most people these days do not appreciate posed wedding photography. But I am sure you would agree that there are those 'certain shots' that must be taken on a wedding, and the trick is to make this happen in a fun way without actually setting it up too much. This is the art of prompting and guiding which is best described as moving people about a bit with direction incorporated into whatever conversation that is happening at the time. Maintaining awareness as to what is about to happen, getting the detail shots, reading ahead a tad whilst at all times making sure everyone is enjoying the wedding photography

Having said all that, your wedding photographer is going to be with you all day basically, so it is important to choose one you can get along with well! An experienced photographer will be well skilled in people skills... from managing a large group of people to one on one in an intimate situation and making that one person or a whole group at ease with the camera. We are very competent in this having shot hundreds of weddings. Make use of this developed over time skill and don't choose a photographer who is on wedding number 12 and still honing these techniques.

As a parting comment, I have talked about what it is we do. If you like the look of our work and persona, we will be happy to help you and bring to your day everything I have mentioned. But it is important to mention that one hat does not fit all. If you require something different in the way of coverage, final product, editing... please talk with us so we can ascertain an understanding of what it is you are looking for. I am confident we can deliver! We are well experienced in Indian, Greek, Asian and all manner of weddings and we enjoy the diversity that we are exposed to.

Glengariff Estate wedding photography Brisbane

Glengariff Historic Estate Winery is a Quality venue located near Brisbane on the Northern outskirts.

It is an awesome location to get married and have you wedding photography done also. I am going to post on the blog recent weddings still, however I will be picking those that can lend themselves to, what I hope will be, more useful actual topics in order to assist Brides with their planning and preparation.

Glengariff is nice and quiet. There are no distractions from what is going on at any time. The grounds are maintained well and preset fantastically and compliment a couples wedding photography.

The Sunsets are awesome too. And if you love food… they have the most interesting twist on Potatoes… as an appetiser! Sounds strange, but you will love them.

Our Bridal studio

We are a small group of dedicated photographers who specialise in wedding photography Brisbane. We are here to showcase our photography skills to you both on this site and at our dedicated Bridal Studio. 99% of out work is weddings… we love them! We would like very much to hear from you and to have you tell us what you want in the way of photography for your wedding day.

We have had a few couples lately where we are having the Bridal party actually participate in an event for the bridal shoot, rather then taking everyone on a location shoot. These couples feel this would be more entertaining to the group than a traditional shoot… and we love the idea too! It will lend itself perfectly to capturing amazing natural candid images of the entire party enjoying themselves.

Ideas for this are things like having some cheese and wine at the park, going to a ‘metro’ style cafe or bar…. it doesn’t really matter as long as all involved are enjoying themselves.

Going back to what I was saying at the beginning, we are a small group of photographers who love weddings. What better profession could there possibly be? Every weekend we go to a different location, meet different people, meet some ‘mother-in-laws’ ( they all play ball on the day!)…. it is fantastic!

We have a dedicated Bridal Studio. This exists purely to have you visit and view our work. We have something for everyone. We are constantly sourcing new product. How would you like to have a 100″ acrylic / glass wall mount in your home. They are amazing!

Nicola + Dave

Nicola and Dave had an awesome Stradbroke Island wedding.

Nicola had her preparations with the girls at a luxury apartment on the coast before flying over to the Island. All morning it rained so hard I honestly though Nicola was going to have a meltdown… but she remained optimistic and her prayers were answered with fantastically fine weather upon her arrival for her wedding ceremony.

The guests were taken to the location by a large Catamaran where they were able to relax and have a drink on the way.

The evening was passed away with lots of dancing to help settle the great Buffet that had been provided.

Rachel + Sean

It was a beautiful Saturday for the wedding of Rachel and Sean. So nice there was even an early morning swim at Rachel’s Parents house! Sean and the boys got ready at their house. One of the Groomsmen was running a bit late but we still had 20 minutes for the pre wedding photography.

Rachel and the girls all had their hair and makeup finished when we got there and everyone was nice and relaxed. It is just as well, since the Bridesmaid’s dresses were all ‘lace up’ along with Rachel’s wedding dress also, it gobbled up nearly half an hour to put the dresses on!

Once finished there we headed off to Newstead House for the Ceremony and then onto the Power House for the Bridal shoot. Being such a lovely day, the venue was over-run with Brides and Photographers. It is always an Honour to be photographing the Bride who has the best wedding gown of everyone there…lol. We had a lot of fun and toasted an hour in no time.

We departed and headed to the Greenbank for a most excellent reception and first meal with the couple. We have a most excellent projector for doing Slide Shows at receptions. Please ask if you would like one done at your wedding. We had the couple and the parents in tears, which is always a great sign that you have done your job well as a photographer.

After dinner we had the first dance and from there they continued into the night and were on their way to a Hotel ready for an early rise and plane flight to Airlie Beach for a week’s Honeymoon.

Brisbane Wedding photography & an E shoot

There are so many awesome locations around for Brisbane Wedding Photography.

However these opportunities may be wasted especially if you are a bit camera shy. I know I am personally, so it is not unreasonable that there is a whole group of people out there who are also. One of the easiest ways to help overcome this is to have an Engagement shoot prior to your wedding.

It really is not about the photos… but rather just helping you relax. It helps us to get to know each other a bit and develop a relationship on some level… it gets us used to each other…. it gets you ready for my senses of humour and gives me time to discover what yours is like.

Every couple who has taken advantage of this shoot has commented that it was the best thing ever to do. The difference in the photos is noticeable between the beginning of the E Shoot and the wedding photos. And this is the whole purpose of it.

My time is valuable and I would normally sell this service… but you can have one free of charge.
